Baku expects Yerevan to amend the Armenian Constitution to “completely eliminate territorial claims against Azerbaijan in order to sign a peace agreement,” Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a special government meeting dedicated to the results of the Azerbaijani president's visit to Washington, according to Azerbaijani media reports.
He also said that the joint declaration signed in Washington “emphasizes the importance of unhindered communication with Nakhchivan as an integral part of Azerbaijan.”
“The Zangezur corridor, part of which will pass through Armenian territory, will ensure seamless connectivity within Azerbaijan and regional economic integration. This project will also expand regional trade and transport opportunities,” Bayramov said.
