According to the data for the first seven months, we have a 7 percent economic activity index. Moreover, the main branches of our economy are growing, we have a fairly good growth rate, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.
“According to the data of recent months, the economic activity index [of Armenia] shows certain acceleration trends because in July we had an economic activity index of 9.1.
Of course, the number of manufacturing industries is of some concern according to the data for seven months. But here there are processes related to re-export, which have changed. In July, we have a 4.2 percent growth in industry, but industry has traditionally been one of our weakest points.
But I believe that political and regional processes, including the expected unblocking [of regional communications], should bring Armenia to a new quality and a new level. In this regard, I must emphasize that, of course, this statement sounds very ambitious, but I must emphasize that today, as of August 28, 2025, Armenia is at the historically highest point of prosperity.
I do not say this as something extraordinary because the logic of any of our development is that at any point in each subsequent year we should have the highest level of our prosperity.
In the previous period, in particular, during the budget performance discussions, I made a comparison between average salaries to jobs, and noted that Armenian citizens live at least 50 percent better compared to in 2018.
We talked about agriculture, we talked about construction, which is growing, services are growing, trade is growing. In July, we have industrial growth," added the Armenian PM.
