In such international summits, in fact, there are contacts with everyone. But the specific format of the contacts will already be visible on the spot, and there will also be work on what kind of mutual interest there is, on the format of the contacts. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at the press briefing after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government—and referring to his possible meetings within the framework of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Beijing.

“But I have no doubt that there will be contacts with everyone,” he added.

And to the question why the documents signed with the US in Washington on August 8 have not been publicized until now, the Armenian premier said: “As for the memorandum of intent, I must state that none of them directly refers to the ‘Trump Route,’ but refers to the Crossroads of Peace [project of Armenia], cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, and high technologies. It was simply a matter of a working arrangement, and we have had a working arrangement that we would publicize the content, but not the text. But since the interest is growing in our society, I believe that in the near future, since it is a bilateral document, we will reach an agreement with the American partners and publicize those documents as well.”

“But I know also that there is interest in that topic in certain expert and MP circles. I have instructed that interested experts or experts from a certain circle, and any MP of the National Assembly [of Armenia] can get familiarized with the content of that text, in which, I would say, there is no secret. Those documents themselves are not secret in their essence and content, there is no secret stamp on them, it is a working document. I believe that we will publicize [them] in the near future, and I call on our associates who have started the formulation of all conspiracy theories to speed up that process so that all their expectations are met when those memoranda are publicized,” added the premier of Armenia.
