The declaration of the “Zangezur corridor” means a fundamental recognition of the main demands of the Azerbaijani side, the Turkish foreign minister has said, Turkish media report.

According to Hakan Fidan, the agreements signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan create “a wonderful picture of peace in the region.”

“From the first day of the events, from the moment the Americans arrived and started talking to our Azerbaijani brothers, this issue was being resolved in agreement with us,” the Turkish FM emphasized.

“The specific format after the declaration of the Zangezur corridor has not yet been determined; this is accepted as a concept that the parties will discuss during the negotiations between themselves,” Fidan noted.
