Samvel Karapetyan's message of August 13 was read during the Yerevan presentation Friday of the “Mer Dzevov” (In Our Way) People’s Movement, founded at the initiative this Russian Armenian entrepreneur and philanthropist who is currently jailed in Yerevan.

The message reads: "Dear compatriots, we will soon present the ‘Mer Dzevov’ movement to the public. This initiative was formed around clear ideas and has big plans for Armenia. Our goals are to develop the [country’s] economy, create real opportunities for business and enrichment, strengthen family and national values, restore Armenia's standing as a reliable partner, ensure the right of the people of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] to live with dignity, return faith in the future to young people by developing the education system, and preserve and protect our [Armenian Apostolic] holy church.

"The ‘Mer Dzevov’ movement will become the foundation on which a new political force will be formed, a force that everyone needs today. Our plans are solid, we will continue in our way."
