The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has found a female official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) who was in contact with an Azerbaijani and passed on important information to him, according to Factor.am’s sources.

This official is Ashkhen Arakelyan. She was an employee of key departments, had access to important information, and was in a romantic relationship with an Azerbaijani.

The NSS found and detained her more than a month ago.

She was detained at Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan during a business trip to Vienna Factor.am has learned.

Arakelyan stated during her interrogation that she had taken money from the Azerbaijani side, but did not act alone.

It is still unknown who assisted him and what positions they hold in the Armenian MFA.

Also, the NSS has confiscated the computers of some MFA employees.
