Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin, China, Turkish media report.

Erdogan expressed satisfaction with the progress of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and assured that Turkey supports peace, stability, and development in the region by contributing to this process.

The parties discussed as well sustainable stability in the South Caucasus and relations between Turkey and Armenia.
