The decision of Armenia to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and join the European Union (EU) should be made solely by the Armenian people, and all factors should be weighed, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said, Interfax reports.

“Recently, [Armenian Prime Minister] Nikol Vovayevich Pashinyan had said that it is impossible to be a member of the EAEU and the EU at the same time. And if such a decision is ever made, I am sure that a variety of factors influencing decision-making on one side or the other will be weighed,” the Russian deputy premier added.
