Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan on Tuesday received Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Sobhani, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Armenia, informs the Ministry of Defense (MoD).

The minister lauded ambassador’s contribution to the strengthening of Armenia-Iran relations, and expressed gratitude for joint effective cooperation and significant achievements as a result.

During the meeting, the bilateral agenda, as well as the latest developments in regional and international security, were discussed.

In the conclusion of the meeting, Suren Papikyan awarded Mehdi Sobhani with a MoD medal for effective cooperation.
