We are pleased to further strengthen our cooperation with brotherly Azerbaijan through joint commission meetings, Turkish vice president Cevdet Yilmaz wrote on X.

“Under the leadership of our esteemed Presidents, our relations, which rose to the level of alliance with the Shusha Declaration, are opening to new horizons in the fields of economy, social policies, and regional cooperation.

Following the historic step taken in Washington on August 8, our hopes for lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus have increased even further. We [i.e. Turkey] will continue to support the regional peace process and the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization [of relations],” Yilmaz added, in particular.
