Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow is the best place for a possible meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, TASS reports.

“Next time, if someone really wants to meet with us, we are ready. The best place for this is the capital of the Russian Federation, the hero city of Moscow,” the Russian president said at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia.

Also, he stressed that Russia is prepared to guarantee the safety of Zelenskyy and other Kyiv representatives if they decide to come to Moscow for a meeting.

Putin added that Kyiv's requests for a meeting and setting conditions for its venue are "excessive demands."
