The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan expressed its gratitude and appreciation to countries, including Armenia, international organizations and aid agencies, for their condolences, sympathy, and humanitarian solidarity, as well as for the assistance provided following the human and material losses caused by the recent earthquake in the eastern part of the country, the Afghan MFA noted on X.

According to the latest information, 2,205 people were killed and 3,640 were injured in the 6.0-magnitude earthquake that struck Afghanistan on August 31.
