French Senate has not approved a proposal to reject the bill criminalizing genocide denial, including the Armenian Genocide, due to inadmissibility.
The proposal was initiated by the Rapparteur from Commission on Law Jean Pierre Sueur. However, the Communist and Socialist parliamentary groups opposed the proposal on inadmissibility of the bill before the voting.
