Clashes broke out in Tbilisi near the election headquarters of mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze, according to Georgia's First Channel.
According to eyewitnesses, the conflict occurred between representatives of the youth wing of the Georgian Dream party and participants in the rally.
The sides exchanged insults, threw various objects at each other, and there was also physical confrontation.
Law enforcement officers have been mobilized at the scene.
