Various financial organizations and financial market participants estimate Armenia's economic growth in 2025 in the range of 4.9%-5.3%. The governor of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Martin Galstyan, stated this during the debates on the annual report on the activities of the CBA at Tuesday’s parliament session.
However, as the CBA head noted, the events of recent months point to higher growth rates by the end of the year.
"Since the beginning of the year, economic activity in Armenia has remained at the level of assumed long-term stable growth. Moreover, in recent months, there have been trends of growth acceleration, which are conditioned, in particular, by noticeable activity in the export sector. In particular, it’s about the IT sector, tourism, and the financial sector," Galstyan said.
According to him, during the year, economic activity continued to considerably contribute to the high growth of the construction sector in Armenia. But, as per the CBA chief, the volatility of economic growth is influenced by some short-term factors which contain significant uncertainty regarding the sustainability and long-term prospects of economic growth, as well as future trends in domestic demand.
