American companies will be happy to participate in projects related to the Zangezur corridor and submit their proposals in tenders. This was stated by Kenneth Angell, Executive Director of the US Development Finance Corporation (DFC), in response to a question from Report.

“Russia and Iran do not want this corridor. However, Turkey supports its opening. I think Armenia would also like this, as they are considering the possibility of collecting tolls for cargo passing through the route. I believe that this process will require certain security guarantees, as well as diplomacy,” he said.

Angell added that the Zangezur corridor project, also known as the “Trump Route,” is currently in the early stages of implementation. But once it is operational, American companies will be happy to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in projects and submit their proposals in tenders, he stressed.
