Clashes are taking place between protesters and police in a square in central Paris, BFMTV television reports, citing its correspondent on location.
“Clashes have been taking place at the Place de la Republique in Paris for about 30 minutes between protesters and law enforcement at the end of the march,” BFMTV reports. It added that the protests in this area took place without incident, but in the evening some of the participants began to burn trash cans, and police were forced to intervene.
