Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan on Wednesday received the Iranian deputy minister of oil, Mohammad Sadegh Azimifar , Papoyan informed on social media.
The minister of economy of Armenia attached importance to the development of the close partnership formed between his country and Iran in the economic domain.
“I have noted that Armenia is interested in high-quality and competitively priced Iranian liquefied gas, which can become the basis for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, while contributing to the strengthening of the country's energy security.
"Reflections were made on future cooperation opportunities, which include: expanding of trade in oil and oil products, developing of liquefied and natural gas supply infrastructure, joint investments in the energy sector, and the effective use of regional transport and logistics hubs (‘North-South’, ‘Crossroads of Peace’)," added the Armenian minister of economy.
