The veterans of the ex-Soviet countries proposed to create a common medal dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory during the World War II. The proposal was included in the decision project of the General council of CIS country heads which is to organize the celebrations dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory.

That document was reviewed and approved during the session of the Council’s Executive Committee.
