Russia's violation of Polish and Romanian airspace is part of a long-term trend of testing the strength of borders and sabotage by President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Wednesday.
“Russia wants to quietly destabilize our free societies,” Merz said in the lower house of the German parliament.
In his opinion, a peaceful agreement cannot be reached at the expense of Kyiv's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“A dictated peace, a peace without freedom, will push Putin to seek his next target,” Merz added.
A massive drone invasion during Russia's attack on Ukraine took place last week. Moscow rejects the allegations against it. Later, another drone entered Romanian airspace.
