The European Union (EU) will continue to support efforts aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the South Caucasus and Azerbaijan's activities in humanitarian mine clearance, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said in a meeting with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

Commissioner Kos added that successful cooperation has been established between the EU and Azerbaijan in the energy sector, and emphasized the significant prospects for further development of collaboration in the transportation sector.
