As for the Goris-Kapan road section, we have brought our armed forces to the internationally recognized borders, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told at a press briefing Thursday.

“Yes. We [i.e. Armenia] did it without border delimitation, and we did [the] right [thing],” he added.

Pashinyan noted that there are no agreements yet on the details of the “Trump Route” project, but there are agreed principles, including the principle of reciprocity. According to him, this means that if one condition applies to Armenia, then the same condition applies to Azerbaijan as well.

“We must ask ourselves: do we want our weapons and troops to pass through [Azerbaijan’s] Nakhichevan [exclave]? Do we want it or not? We constantly talk about others and do not talk about ourselves. When we decide that we want to transport weapons through the territory of Nakhichevan to [Armenia’s southernmost] Meghri [city] and vice versa, then we will start such negotiations. If we decide that we do not want to transport weapons by railway through the territory of Nakhichevan to Meghri and vice versa, then we will change the respective formula," the Armenian PM noted.

Pashinyan again noted that any issue related to the unblocking of regional communications and the "Trump Route" project should be considered within the framework of the five principles—sovereignty, jurisdiction, territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, and reciprocity.
