Armenia ranked 59th out of 139 countries in the Global Innovation Index report published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on Tuesday, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan wrote on Facebook.

"Compared to 2024, progress has been recorded, up 4 positions.

This progress testifies to Armenia's growing role in the global innovation environment and reflects the joint efforts of the government, the private sector, and academic circles.

Armenia ranks 11th among 36 upper-middle-income countries.

Compared to last year, Armenia has made progress in the ‘Business Development,’ ‘Infrastructure,’ and ‘Institutions’ pillars,’” Papoyan added.
