US Congressman Brad Sherman has commented on the arrest of Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan and the archbishops.

“It is critical that we have strong democratic institutions in Yerevan. There have been allegations, one way or another, against high-ranking clerics and very prominent Armenian businessman. Let me just say this: if there are such reflections, no one should be jailed and no one should face expropriation based on normal political activity,”he said.
