North Korea has acquired a new secret weapon, its leader, Kim Jong Un, announced at a meeting of the Supreme People's Assembly of the country, reports the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"We have acquired a new secret weapon. Significant achievements have been made in the field of defense science and research, which will greatly contribute to the sharp increase in combat potential," Kim said.

He recalled North Korea's development of destroyers, which he called "the first important step in building a sea power."

He added that North Korea is constantly strengthening its strategic forces and the characteristics of its mass-produced weapons.

Also, Kim Jong Un stated that North Korea will not move towards the elimination of nuclear weapons. The North Korean leader said that calls to abandon nuclear weapons are tantamount to an attack on the country's constitutional order.
