The Armenian Ministry of Defense receives specialized advisory assistance from France and the US on a permanent basis, and Greece also provides coordinated assistance in a number of areas. Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan stated this at the 108th Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which is being held in Armenia’s capital Yerevan.

“At this phase, the primary efforts of this area have been focused on the development of strategic documents with a new model and standards, modernizing the structure and management system of the [Armenian] Armed Forces, development of educational and training capabilities, and [some] other areas,” added the Armenian defense minister.
