Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: We have learned details about the visit of [National Security Service (NSS) director] Andranik Simonyan to [Azerbaijan’s capital] Baku.

A reliable source conveys that during the visit, the NSS director transmitted to the Azerbaijani side a list of [Armenian] prisoners of war [being held in Azerbaijan] consisting of 10 names, whom the Armenian side wants to return to the homeland within the framework of the normalization of bilateral relations [with Azerbaijan].

These names are: Erik Ghazaryan, Levon Balayan, Davit Alaverdyan, Melikset Pashayan, Garik Martirosyan, Vasili Beglaryan, Ludvig Mkrtchyan, Alyosha Khosrovyan, Gurgen Stepanyan, Madat Babayan.

Simonyan did not utter a single word during this visit about the release and return of 8 state figures of the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] military-political leadership who are being tried and tortured in Baku.

But in exchange for releasing these 10 people, the Azerbaijani side has set a counter-list and conditions: it has demanded the release of two citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhrab Muhammad al-Shkheri and Youssef Alabet al-Haji, who, as mercenary terrorists, participated in the 2020 war, committed numerous murders among the Armenian civilian population, and were sentenced to life imprisonment in Armenia in 2021.

Our source says that Andranik Simonyan has agreed to fulfill Azerbaijan's demand.
