The opening of borders will create many opportunities for Armenia, economy minister Gevorg Papoyan told reporters Wednesday.
He informed that his article was recently published, according to which the similarity index shows that the products exported by Armenia on the one hand, and Azerbaijan and Turkey on the other, are not similar. Papoyan assured, however, that there are no problems in this regard.
The product complementarity index shows greater similarities, the Armenian economy minister added.
“This implies that we [i.e. Armenia] import the products that they [i.e. Azerbaijan and Turkey] export, and they import the products that Armenia exports,” he noted.
Also, Papoyan announced the publishing of a second article—and this time dedicated to the specific impact of the expected opening of the border between Armenia and Turkey.
