During a meeting in Moscow, the ambassadors of the UK, France, and Germany to Russia have expressed concern over the incursion of three Russian fighter jets into Estonian airspace, sources say, Bloomberg reports.

The diplomats believe that this incident was deliberate and ordered by the Russian command.

The Russian diplomat replied that the violation of Estonian airspace was a response to Ukraine's attacks on Crimea, Bloomberg notes. The Kremlin believes that such actions would have been impossible without NATO support, so Russia believes that it is already embroiled in a confrontation with European countries.

During the aforesaid meeting, the Russian team took detailed notes on the events, Bloomberg adds.

European diplomats have assumed that their interlocutors were asked to convey NATO's position in detail to their superiors, the BBC reports. The German government spokesperson confirmed to this news agency that such a meeting had taken place and that the aforesaid ambassadors had told Moscow that the incursions must stop.
