Thank you very much, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, for the invitation to participate in the World Atomic Week forum. Today we learned a lot about nuclear technologies, and thank you for sharing, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told Russian President Vladimir Putin during their meeting in the Kremlin on Thursday.

“Of course, the role of nuclear energy is constantly growing, and nuclear energy is already considered a green energy option all over the world. Indeed, nuclear energy is also very important for our country [i.e. Armenia].

You rightly noted that we are closely collaborating with the Russian Federation and are working to extend the operating life of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant until 2036.

We are currently working and looking for projects for small modular nuclear reactors suitable for Armenia. And, of course, we are also very actively conducting a dialogue with the Russian Federation on this matter. We are collaborating very effectively with the Rosatom [State Atomiс Energy] Corporation [of Russia]," the Armenian PM noted.
