Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on Thursday met with the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Johann Wadephul, in New York, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

Emphasizing the significant foundations of cooperation established between Armenia and Germany, the interlocutors discussed new opportunities for the deepening of relations.

Also, Mirzoyan and Wadephul exchanged views on the challenges that democratic processes are facing.

“Armenia views the EU, including Germany, as an important partner in its chosen path of democratic development, which is reflected in the substance of our countries’ relations,” the Armenian FM noted.

Reflecting on the peace established in Armenia’s region, Mirzoyan briefed Wadephul on the activities towards implementation of the agreements reached in Washington D.C. on August 8.

Also, the Armenian FM expressed gratitude to his German colleague for the continued attention to regional issues and cooperation with Armenia.
