Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, in New York, the PM’s office informs.

The interlocutors highlighted the importance of the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, and expressed confidence that it will contribute to ensuring stability and promoting cooperation in the South Caucasus.

They touched also upon the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held in Armenia from October 18 to 30, 2026, and matters related to respective collaboration. In addition, Pashinyan and Guterres exchanged views on some other matters of mutual interest.
