The American delegation recently visited Armenia, discussions have begun, and they will continue Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a briefing with Armenian reporters in Strasbourg, France, Monday. He stated this regarding the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) road project.

“At the moment, there are no very concrete agreements. Of course, I believe that the problem is also that United States President [Donald] Trump’s administration clearly has a very big global agenda. But rest assured that in that global agenda, the TRIPP route agenda is, continues to be, the focus of attention of the United States, ours, and the international community. (…). These processes are fast slow, without interruptions because whatever we try to do quickly will not work. We need to do [it] slowly, but without interruptions. Now we are working slowly, but without interruptions,” added the Armenia PM.

And when asked if a step forward has been taken since August 8, when Armenia and Azerbaijan initialed a peace agreement in Washington DC, Pashinyan replied: “No step forward has been taken, there has been a continuation of the process because discussions have already begun on specific contents, on the planning. Specifically, now we are working on who should do the plan, how should we plan it, who should fund [it], because the railway needs to be planned, right?"
