The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia adopted the draft statement of the National Assembly on Establishment of Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, with 64 votes in favor, 2 abstentions, and note against.

The NA opposition, however, did not participate in the respective debates and the aforesaid voting.

As reported earlier, the NA on Thursday convened a special session, the agenda of which is the draft statement of the National Assembly on Establishment of Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The head of the ruling majority “Civil Contract” Faction, Hayk Konjoryan, introduced this draft from the NA rostrum.

First, informed that the “Civil Contract” Faction believes that by adopting this statement, it should support the established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and call on all interested parties to strengthen and develop the established peace.

Then, Konjoryan read the draft statement on the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
