Germany’s Munich airport was forced to suspend operations due to drone sightings, Reuters reports.
In total, 17 flights were canceled at the airport, another 15 were diverted, and about 3,000 passengers were stranded.
The airport said on Friday morning that Germany's air traffic control service first reported the drone sightings at 10:18pm local time on Thursday, which initially led to flight restrictions that were later lifted before being completely suspended.
