Russia reserves the right to be guided by its national interests, including the restoration of full relations with the US, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club, TASS reports.

"We see that the current US administration is mainly guided by the interests of its own country, as it understands them," Putin said.

According to him, this is a rational approach.

Putin noted that Russia also has the right to be guided by its national interests, and he included the restoration of full relations with the US among them.
