The Qabala Declaration was signed Tuesday within the framework of the 12th summit of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Azerbaijan.

The document was adopted following a meeting of the heads of state of the organization’s member countries. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that this declaration reaffirms the strengthening of solidarity in the Turkic world, the growth of mutual trust, and the commitment to the principles of sovereignty, independence, and statehood.

The document highlights the organization’s role as a constructive platform for promoting regional peace and multilateral cooperation, and notes the importance of joint action against such challenges as disinformation, cyber threats, and climate change.

In addition, according to Bayramov, the document addresses the so-called “Zangezur corridor.” “The leaders noted the strategic significance of the Middle Corridor international transport route, including the Zangezur corridor, emphasizing that it will significantly contribute to strengthening ties, increasing trade turnover, and developing intraregional economic cooperation between Turkic-speaking states.
