The US president’s administration and American military personnel should adopt a “clear-headed, rational, and responsible” approach regarding the possible transfer of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergey Ryabkov stated, Kommersant reports.

According to him, such deliveries would mark a qualitative change in the situation.

“The hypothetical use of such systems is possible only with the direct engagement of American personnel. I hope that those pushing Washington to make this decision clearly understand the depth and seriousness of the consequences,” Ryabkov told reporters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that the use of Tomahawk missiles by Ukraine would damage relations between Russia and the United States.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he would like to know what Ukraine intends to do with Tomahawk missiles if they are supplied. At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility of such deliveries.
