A delegation from the Croatian parliament, led by its speaker Gordan Jandrokovic, visited the parliament of Azerbaijan.

During his visit to the Azerbaijani capital Baku, this Croatian official made a statement that stood out for its level of cynicism and geopolitical ignorance.

During the meeting, speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, informed the guests about the initialing of a peace treaty with Armenia, APA reports.

Expressing contentment with his visit to Azerbaijan, the speaker of the Croatian parliament stated that “Azerbaijan’s restoration of its sovereignty and territorial integrity” in 2023 “is a source of pride, and the signing of a peace treaty with Armenia will be an important contribution to the development of the entire region.”

This means that a high-ranking official from an EU member state is expressing support for genocidal actions of Azerbaijan and its forcible displacement of hundreds of thousands of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh.
