Israel continued to carry out strikes on the Gaza Strip following the announcement of peace arrangements reached between Israel and the Hamas movement, informs the civil defense service of this Palestinian enclave.

After last night’s announcement regarding the agreement on a ceasefire, numerous reports were received of explosions, including in northern Gaza. In addition, Gaza City was subjected to intense airstrikes, noted the aforementioned agency said.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump had announced that representatives of Israel and the radical Palestinian Hamas movement had signed agreements on the first phase of a peace plan following talks held in Egypt.
