In Brussels, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Marta Kos, the European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement, the PM’s office informs.

The interlocutors discussed the new Armenia-EU partnership agenda, and the implementation of the ambitious strategic actions defined by it.

The parties reviewed upcoming steps and prospects for deepening cooperation, emphasizing that in recent years, Armenia-EU relations have acquired new quality and depth.

Separately, Pashinyan highly appreciated the EU’s consistent support for the effective implementation of institutional reforms in Armenia, and underscored his government’s commitment to introducing EU standards across all sectors in the country.

For her part, Marta Kos highlighted the EU’s readiness to continue steps toward deepening and expanding ties with Armenia in various directions.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the effective dialogue on Armenia-EU visa liberalization, and noted that significant progress had been recorded in this regard as well.

They exchanged views also on the opportunities created in the region following the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) regional communication project in Armenia, and the implementation of country’s Crossroads of Peace project.
