The speaker of Peru’s Congress, Jorge Jeri, has been sworn in as the country’s new president following the impeachment of President Dina Boluarte, according to local media report in a YouTube broadcast.
Peru’s Congress on Friday announced that it had approved Boluarte’s removal from office.
