US President Donald Trump said he may discuss with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin the transfer of long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.

“I might say, ’Look: if this war is not going to get settled, I’m going to send them [i.e. to Ukraine] Tomahawks,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he flew to Israel. “The Tomahawk is an incredible weapon, very offensive weapon. And honestly, Russia does not need that.”

The head of the White House expressed hope, however, that Putin will agree to end the war. Otherwise, it will end badly for the Russian president, Trump added.
