Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, Davit Karapetyan, on Monday met with Saeed Khatibzadeh, the Deputy Foreign Minister, Head of the Center for Political and International Studies of the MFA of Iran, in Tehran.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the high level of political dialogue and the rich bilateral agenda between Armenia and Iran, informs the MFA of Armenia. They stressed the importance of implementing initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation in the economic, cultural, and educational spheres between the two countries.

Also, the interlocutors touched upon recent regional developments, and highlighted the importance of peace institutionalization in the region as a result of the Washington agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8.

In addition, Karapetyan and Khatibzadeh discussed possible domains for further enhancing cooperation, touched upon the prospects for collaboration within the framework of the Yerevan Dialogue and the Tehran Dialogue forums, as well as the potential for expanding cooperation between the Center for Political and International Studies of Iran and the Diplomatic School of Armenia.
