During a meeting with Argentina’s president, US President Donald Trump warned that if the Palestinian Hamas group does not lay down its arms, the US will intervene to ensure that it happens.

“I don't have to explain that to you, but if they don't disarm, we will disarm them,” Trump told reporters when asked how he would carry that out. “They know I'm not playing games.”

Trump accused Hamas of distorting the number of dead Israeli hostages, saying that the previous evening they had returned only four bodies out of 28 killed hostages.

“I want them back. That's what they said. I want them back,” the US president said.
