Ford is recalling nearly 625,000 vehicles in the US due to seatbelt and rear-view camera display problems, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Friday, Reuters reports.

The recall affects more than 332,000 Mustangs with seatbelt-related issues, as well as 292,000 F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks with rearview camera malfunctions.

Regulators said Ford dealers will inspect the seatbelts in Mustangs and replace any defective parts if necessary.

Also, they will provide a free software update for the pickup trucks’ image processing module to fix the rearview camera parking system malfunction.

Earlier, Ford announced a recall in the US of 115,500 F-250, F-350, and F-450 vehicles made in 2020 and 2021 due to a steering system defect. The problem stems from a flaw that could cause the upper steering column to separate, potentially resulting in loss of vehicle control.
