The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received Archbishop Shahan Sargsyan.

Archbishop Sargsyan presented President Khachaturyan with a volume published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the enthronement of Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia, on behalf of Catholicos Aram I, conveying the Patriarch’s warm greetings and blessings.

President Khachaturyan expressed his gratitude for the valuable gift and stated that it was a great honor to receive it. He highly appreciated Catholicos Aram I’s spiritual and national activities, emphasizing his unwavering dedication to pan-Armenian unity and the preservation of the moral values of the Armenian people. The President, in turn, asked that his warm greetings and best wishes be conveyed to the Catholicos.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening ties between Armenia and the Diaspora, the spiritual and national education of the younger generation, and matters related to the activities of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund. They also explored ways to ensure the continuity of initiatives that strengthen pan-Armenian unity.

Archbishop Sargsyan conveyed Catholicos Aram I’s hope and expectation that the concerning issues observed in our lives will find positive resolutions through God’s blessing and the guidance of goodness, for the sake of the unity, peace, and prosperity of the Armenian people.
