In case of a critical situation, Ukraine must be prepared to secure $2 billion worth of gas. The government knows where to source these funds and how to import the gas, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, according to UNIAN.
He noted that Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has reached positive agreements with Slovakia, while Energy Minister Svetlana Grinchuk is coordinating with U.S. energy companies.
“There is an agreement regarding American liquefied natural gas: if we need it, it can come via the Polish terminal. We can also import additional gas from Greece, based on an agreement with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. There are understandings and agreements with other countries as well. There is also an agreement with Azerbaijan. Everyone is working on this. From everything I have seen, the gas issue will be resolved,” the president said.
