“Meeting with the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin,” the Prime Minister wrote on social media.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized the high-level dialogue between the Government of Armenia and the Holy See, expressing confidence that it will continue to develop and strengthen further. They underlined that the dialogue between Armenia and the Holy See is based not only on shared Christian values but also on common historical and spiritual heritage, as well as similar approaches to the challenges of the modern world.

Cardinal Parolin expressed confidence that under the pontificate of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, bilateral relations will deepen and strengthen even more.

Prime Minister Pashinyan once again noted that it was an honor for him to attend the canonization ceremony of Archbishop Ignatius Maloyan, adding that his life reminds us that even in times of suffering, faith and courage can overcome difficulties.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, highlighting the importance of addressing humanitarian issues.

A number of topics on the bilateral agenda were also discussed.
