Myanmar’s armed forces conducted an operation in the southern part of the country near the Thailand border, clearing the premises of the KK Park call center involved in fraudulent activities and freeing 2,198 people, reports Eleven Media Group (EMG).

According to the report, during the “Tatmadaw” operation in Karen State, 58 clashes occurred, including six major confrontations. The military discovered 10 bodies, 16 weapons, and 30 Starlink satellites.

Earlier this year, Thailand, China, and Myanmar agreed to combine efforts to combat criminal groups running fraud call centers in Myanmar, where between 100,000 and 120,000 people are forced to work. Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that about 10,000 victims have been rescued and repatriated to Thailand, over half of whom are Chinese citizens.
